Church In The Community

We are closely involved with local schools and care homes, and many of our congregation partner with other community groups.  We will be updating this page with more information in the coming months, but for now here are some of the ways we are involved in our community:

Open Church & Bereaved Friends

Fridays 10 am - 12 pm.  We offer tea, coffee, cake and biscuits, and a warm and welcoming place to spend the morning.

Our Bereaved Friends group also meets here.  We all suffer loss at some time in our lives- but we don't have to go through it alone.  Bereaved friends are a group of people who meet every Friday morning for tea, coffee and cake- sometimes we chat, sometimes we may just want to listen.

Transforming Lives for Good:  Early Intervention

We are an Early Intervention Centre, in partnership with Transforming Lives for Good.  This programme involves working with our local Primary school and enables trained volunteers to become coaches and work on a one-to-one basis with children, with the overall aim of reducing the child’s felt anxieties and increasing their confidence and aspirations.   Currently we have five Coaches volunteering in school.   We are able to do this through the generous funding of the Baptist Insurance Company

Welshpool & District Foodbank

We will continue to support our local Foodbank during this difficult time.   Their website gives more information: https://welshpooldistrict.foodbank.org.uk/
